The three have been living together since Doloris separated from Diana's violent father. Diana's mother wants to move in with her long-distance boyfriend to give Diana and herself a better life and a real family. Diana is not particularly popular at school and is very withdrawn. When she starts filming at school and in everyday life for her school project, she repeatedly witnesses assaults on young girls and women. However, the women seem to have long since accepted such assaults as normal.
